Mulheres com Impacto is a capacity-building
programme designed to support and foster female entrepreneurship at an international level, recognising its importance as a driver of development.
This unique opportunity brought together over 50 women entrepreneurs and various stakeholders from São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, and Rio de Janeiro, resulting in a collaborative ecosystem report.
The briefing
The challenge set by the Lisbon City Council and UCCI was to develop a capacity-building programme that would elevate female entrepreneurship on an international level, leveraging collaboration between Ibero-American cities. Despite the growing recognition of women’s entrepreneurial potential, they still face significant barriers like limited access to resources, networks, and visibility. The goal
was to create a collaborative project that not only addressed these challenges but also brought together stakeholders from multiple cities to generate valuable insights and synergies.
The strategy
We took on the challenge by designing a programme that focused on inclusive, multi-stakeholder collaboration, ensuring that the participants would receive not just training but the tools, networks, and support needed to thrive in the long term. Our approach involved co-creation sessions with all partners, including local governments and Impact Hubs, ensuring that the programme estructure was both globally informed and locally relevant.
The Capacity-Building Bootcamp provided 51 women entrepreneurs from Portugal, Brazil, and Argentina with hands on training, specialised mentoring, and practical tools to scale their businesses and enhance their skills. To amplify the programme’s impact, we developed a final seminar and an Ecosystem Report to consolidate the learnings and forge lasting connections between participants and stakeholders.
