In March 2018, we joined forces to launch a joint communication campaign that reached 1.950+ community members and 220+ entrepreneurs. Within a one-month marketing campaign and industry screening, we identified a set of 56 startups.
Then, Impact Hub Lisbon pre-selected the most promising 49 startups for a in-depth analysis.
Analysis, impact assessment & output
First of all, while most of the startups operate in Germany (53%), the others are divided between the Swiss (14%), the Dutch (12%) and Spanish (21%) markets. Plus, more than half of the startups is already running operations with a successful business model and is now looking for ways to scale it (55%).
Afterwards, our team divided the mobility sector and startups into 3 main areas of activity – Smart Mobility, Electric Mobility and Vehicle Technology. The most flourishing sub-sectors (in terms of solutions provided) were Big Data (19%), Logistics (14%), Navigation (14%) and Manufacturing (14%).
Furthermore, we performed an impact assessment in order to evaluate the startups according to 3 criteria: scalability, innovation and cost/benefit. We realized the scalability is the most outstanding asset of these startups.
