This week we hosted a packed house of over 150 people for VegBusiness.
This was a partnership between Impact Hub Lisbon, The Love Food and Associação Vegetariana Portuguesa. It’s exactly the sort of event we love hosting – bringing together leaders in an ethical field, to hear inspiring stories and understand how we can participate in world-changing movements.
It was all about the vegan/vegetarian business and we were treated to contributions from 4 different panel groups: the Restaurant business, Industry, Commerce and Bloggers/authors.
We also got to listen to some good talks, including two from our very own Francesco Rocca and João Almeida.
We saw the numbers which showed that, contrary to what a lot of people think, veggie lifestyles are not a fad but a steadily increasing trend.
We got some tips from the people in the business and the main message was to have a lot of heart and passion, persistence and strategy. You cannot have a business without an organised plan – that is what will distinguish an entrepreneur from a run-of-the-mill businessperson.
Da Terra treated us to delicious snacks that disappeared in minutes and we also enjoyed offerings from Camellia Grove Kombucha, Shoyce’s milk alternatives and some treats from Evervegan.
